Membership Info

Our goal is to provide a place for local artisans to show and sell their work. We hope most members will participate in events, meetings and running the gallery shop but it is not a requirement for membership. To become a member, your work must be juried and accepted. More information about how to become a member is below.

Selection/ Approval Process:

  • Submit the signed application below or fill out PDF and email it or hand it into the gallery during gallery hours.

• Submit 3 or more samples of work for each genre that is to be juried including prices at a pre-arranged time.

• Work directly copied from other sources is not acceptable.

• Items are juried by the Watershed Artworks Society Jury Committee on the third Monday of the month.

• Notification is given after the jury process is completed, no critiques will be given.

Items will be juried for quality, uniqueness, salability, and overall balance of items displayed in the Watershed Artworks Gallery Shop. Specifically we look at; Originality/Design, Craftsmanship, Variety, Presentation and Finishing and Salability Artwork presented must be current, produced within the last two years. Only artist’s whose work has been juried will be displayed in the Watershed Artworks Gallery Shop. Each new media that an artist makes must be juried before it can be displayed.

Membership Fees/Commission:

Dues:

$60.00/year (May 1 - April 30) If a new member joins part way through the membership cycle, the fee will be prorated quarterly.

Commission:

10% Commission - volunteering a minimum of 2 shifts, 10 hours per month in the Gallery Shop

20% Commission - volunteering a minimum of 1 shift, 5 hours per month in the Gallery Shop

40% Commission - Limited Participation Member (no shop hours volunteered)
