Feature Artist

MARIKA KOVALCIKOVA

Art has always been a guiding force in my life. As a long-time producer and event planner, I’ve spent years immersed in creative environments and have been an avid art collector for as long as I can remember. But it wasn’t until 2016 that I found my own expressive voice through the discovery of Paverpol, an eco-friendly fabric hardener from the Netherlands. This medium unlocked a deep passion in me and allowed my creative practice to truly take shape.

Paverpol lets me turn fabric and other simple materials into beautiful, lasting sculptures. It’s perfect for indoor and outdoor art like garden statues, and it can also be used for decorative projects like jewelry, canvas artwork with fabric, and more. The possibilities are endless, and I love how it encourages both creativity and reuse of materials.

Since becoming a Certified Paverpol Instructor in 2020, I’ve enjoyed teaching others how to use this fun and flexible medium. My workshops are designed for anyone—no experience needed. I believe everyone can be an artist!

I also work with felting and Nuno felting to create wearable art, like scarves, vests, and accessories. Whether sculpting or felting, creating with my hands brings me joy, and I love helping other discover that same spark.
