Many years ago I found a book, Art from Found Materials. The book had very little substance, but the title was inspiring. It validated what my Grandfather had done his entire life.

He was a master at turning ‘found’ into amazingly beautiful things. My Mother taught me to see the art in nature & life itself. My gardens and revived furniture are the fruition of the things I love to find combined with the “art” of nature.

I am a gardener by trade. To watch and to help something grow is immensely rewarding. I am intrigued and challenged by the tenacity and resilience of the succulents and other plants that have survived my “container experimentation”.

Over the last six years, the path of my creative journey has widened. My husband & son gave me the gift of clay for my birthday. Clay has its own language, learning it is both frustrating and rewarding. Thankfully, mostly in equal doses!

My art can be considered “green”… most of the containers and things contained in my gardens and cards and painted furniture have been reclaimed and recycled.
