Pat Morgan

Pat Morgan was born in Peace River, Alberta. She has had a lifelong passion for art and developed a natural intuitive ability. She studied painting at the Banff School of Fine Arts and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Alberta. Shortly after that, she studied at York University. She has also studied at Capilano College and Kwantlen College. In addition to her studies in art, she has had a full career, which included Graphic Design, managing an Arts and Crafts store, Window Display, teaching Art, Photography and working in the Printing and Publishing Industry. She received two Cultural Assistance Awards from the Government of Alberta. Her art is also in the collection of The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Le Consul General de France and the Government of Alberta. She has also had 3 One Man Shows and has been in more than 20 Group Shows. She was also involved in painting a large series of commissions for the Cactus Club Restaurant chain. The driving force behind her work, which can either be abstract or representational, is to capture the essence or spirit of the subject.
